Bonbon Falls is another impressive beauty located in the Municipality of Samboan, Cebu. The waterfalls has not been disturbed by commercial development yet so the beautiful natural surroundings of trees and lush greenery has been preserved.

The Bonbon Falls is also called the Triple Drop Falls because of the three drops of the falls that are side by side with each other and their thin water flows. The waterfalls is not that high so you can climb directly up the peak by climbing the side of the falls.

Some of the stones in the side of the falls have been carved up into stair-like crevices that you can step on as you climb to the top. Just be careful that you do not lose your balance when you climb up as the rocks are somewhat steep and slippery due to the flowing waters. There are also some small caves along the sides of the waterfalls.

The trek to the top can take up to 15 minutes while going down can take up to 10 minutes. If you are the adventurous type, the waterfalls can also be an ideal venue for rappelling and canyonning from the top going to the bottom.

The Bonbon Falls is located in Barangay Bonbon in Samboan, Cebu. The town of Samboan is about 140-kilometers from Cebu City and is situated in the southwestern coast of Cebu Island. The town of Samboan can be reached by public buses or hired private vans from the Cebu South Terminal in the Mandaue Reclamation Area in Cebu City. The estimated travel time from the city to Samboan is three to four hours.

Delcio’z Resto and Dragon FRUIT FARM IN RONDA

Delcio'z Dragonfruit Farm

Dragonfruit is this gorgeous fuchsia colored fruit that looks like kiwi. I thought that dragonfruits only grow in the west, I did not now that we have a dragonfruit farm here in Cebu! It is a must-see!

The fruit is basically bland on its own, but blending it with some milk and sugar makes a lot of difference. This glass of dragonfruit shake is actually full of nutrients so it is a must-try!

Dragonfruit does grow in the tropics and is locally known as Pitaya. As mentioned, it is similar to kiwi and can even be compared to watermelon. It is very juicy. Although the fruit does not give so much flavor, the full color it gives is enough reason to pour a glassful of its blended version into a clear glass. It certainly looks so good and appetizing!

The fruit is full of fiber, magnesium, vitamins C & E and iron so it is a very good body supplement. You can add the fruit to your regular diet!

The farm is open to the public for visitation. After the short tour, you can head on to the cafe, just a couple of steps from the farm.  In their small cafe, you can try their dragonfruit shake fresh from the farm!

Kawasan Falls shower

Local guides brought maneuvered our raft to the smaller of the two waterfalls, probably to get us used to the pounding water.

You think you know how it would feel but nothing prepares you for that great rush of water falling on you. It’s like something solid and heavy has fallen on you, only it does not bounce away but continues downIt forces your head down. The water is so thick as it falls you must hold your breath or take in water. You stagger to get away but take it from me, you’ll soon get used to it. You will even get to like it.

Water massage

This second waterfall is much bigger and stronger and the pounding water really hurts when it hits you. So when the raft goes through it to get to the other side, it will hit all of you. There’s no stepping away this time.

The word camangon was derived from  cebuano language called “kamang” or crawl. And the reason why its called as camangon cave because you have to crawl  in order to get inside. And theres no other way to get in aside from crawling because the entrance of the cave is very small.. So you’ll expect to get dirty. And the local brgy. made this adventure professionally so they provide a proper gears like hard hat /helmet to protect yourself from pointy part of the rocks inside and also they have a flashlights but if i were you,  you must bring your own(bigger one if possible) so its even brighter.  Camangon Cave is only one of the 108 caves found in lamac, pinamungajan. This is the first cave that i’ve tried to get in and im looking forward to try to some other caves if i’ll be given a chance.

Cuartel Ruins of Oslob Cebu

Even before Oslob gained its popularity from the whale sharks, the town of Oslob already takes pride in its charming ruins, including the Cuartel Heritage Trail. The structure was built during the Spanish era to serve as barracks. However, when the Americans came to colonize the Philippines, the construction was left unfinished.

To get to the Cuartel in Oslob, you should get on a bus headed for the town at the Cebu South Bus Terminal. Just tell the driver you want to get of the Nuestra Señora de la Immaculada Concepcion Church in Oslob. The Cuartel is located a few steps away from the church.

It is not hard to notice that the southern part of Cebu is rich with old structures and buildings. One of those is the Cuartel Heritage Trail which served as barracks during the Spanish era.

We didn’t get to see the whole trail because some parts are being constructed. The tour was quite short, but the site was a fantastic scenery.
