Situated in the humble municipality of Dalaguete, Cebu, is a unique summer side trip destination – the Obong Spring. Both tourists and locals alike can experience a dip in the cool waters of the pool, where the freshwater springs forth in close proximity to the beach.

What makes Obong Spring a distinct pool is its mix of fresh and salt water. During high tide, the continuous flow of spring water mixes with sea water, thus making the water briny. This meek place has gained popularity for a number of years as hundreds of tourists love to stop by and take an invigorating plunge into the cold waters to refresh their parched bodies from the summer heat.

Dubbed as “Tubigan” by Dalaguetnons, this natural beauty is said to bring pride to this humble village. The unperturbed flowing of cold water from Obong Spring is surrounded by large rocks, which are oftentimes used as diving platforms by few brave swimmers. Some of the rather adventurous visitors take off from the century-old dalakit trees that are standing beside the pool. For an entrance fee of only Php 10, you can be one with nature in an unforgettable experience. Not only can you truly enjoy the luxury of swimming and diving, you can engage in other activities such as picture taking and sightseeing. This spring is also an ideal place for family picnics or get-together occasions with loved ones or friends to celebrate and unwind. Since the spring is located along the sea, the visitors can also experience the beach if they so want. Up to this day, this place remains unspoiled and well-preserved. For sure, this will remain a tourist destination for the generations to come. How to Get There From Cebu City South Bus Terminal, take a bus heading to the municipality of Dalaguete.
